CROWNS
When teeth are badly broken down
or fractured, often a crown is needed to restore the tooth.
The crown is placed over the prepared tooth to bring back
the function and natural beauty of the existing tooth. We
offer all-ceramic (porcelain) crowns to meet our patients
esthetic needs as well as ceramo-metal and full gold to meet
our patients functional needs. We have a lab technician on-site
to give our patients the highest quality service.
BRIDGES
When a tooth is lost or extracted,
a fixed bridge is an excellent way to replace it. The bridge
consists of a pontic, or filler tooth, attached to abutment
crowns on the adjacent teeth. The structure is cemented into
place to provide long lasting support. Without replacing missing
teeth, spaces in the mouth may cause teeth to shift. This
can lead to occlusal (bite) problems and sometimes periodontal
(gum) issues. By replacing missing teeth, you not only bring
back your smile and function, but you safeguard the integrity
of the surrounding teeth.
IMPLANTS
Another way to replace missing
teeth is through implant dentistry. Dental implants offer
a secure, long-term replacement for teeth. They are the best
alternative to natural teeth. There are three parts to a dental
implant. A titanium implant is positioned in your jaw in the
area of the missing tooth. An abutment is then placed over
the implant to allow for the final part, the restoration.
A crown, bridge, or denture is then custom made to bring the
patients teeth back into occlusal harmony.
MINI-IMPLANTS
Mini-implants are smaller versions
of full dental implants that are used primarily for dentures.
Patients with lower dentures that rock and are unstable can
often regain stability and the ability to chew with a mini-implant
supported denture.
TOOTH-COLORED FILLINGS
We offer the latest technology
in tooth-colored fillings. 95% of all the new fillings we
place use white composite material. Unsightly silver amalgam
fillings can be easily replaced with beautiful, natural, composite
fillings.
VENEERS
Want to improve your smile? Porcelain
veneers are thin sheets of porcelain that are bonded to front
teeth to make radiant smiles. Spaces, stains, and even malaligned
teeth can often be corrected with porcelain. Veneers are the
most beautiful restorations and today's adhesive bonding technology
gives them the strength to last.
COSMETIC BONDING
Bonding is another option to change
the appearance of one's front teeth. A variety of shades of
composite resin material can be bonded to front teeth in a
single visit to restore beauty to one's teeth.
TOOTH WHITENING
We have a variety of ways to whiten
teeth. We offer in-office bleaching, take-home bleach trays
and professional bleach kits. Anyone can have lighter, more
vibrant teeth by using the system that is right for you. Some
of the brands we carry include ZOOM!, Opalescence, Rembrandt,
and Tres White.
ROOT CANALS
We perform endodontic, or root
canal therapy in our office. Teeth that are extremely painful
or abscessed often need to be treated with a root canal. A
series of tiny files is used to remove inflamed or infected
pulp tissue (nerve) from inside the tooth. The tooth is then
sealed with a bio-friendly material, Gutta Percha, that takes
the place of the nerve. The pain or infection will be gone
and the tooth will be saved. A crown and post-build up is
then typically placed to complete the restoration of the tooth.
DENTURES AND PARTIALS
Sometimes the best option for a
patient with multiple missing teeth is a removable denture
or partial denture. We make full and immediate dentures and
precision cast partials to bring back patients smiles.
COMPREHENSIVE CARE
We have three dental hygeinists
on our staff to help maintain your teeth for the rest of your
life. We do some periodontal therapy, such as root planing,
along with preventative procedures such as sealants and fluoride
application. We also fabricate nightguard appliances for neuromuscular
and TMJ pain. Sometimes, unfortunately, we have to extract
teeth, too. We care for our patients and we do everything
we can for them and their dental health!
